Tancho Hair Wax - What's in My Makeup Kit? #7

"What's in My Makeup Kit?" features my favorite makeup item in my makeup box.

Today's item is "Tancho Hair Wax" for creating perfect flat hair.

  1. Tancho Hair Wax was created by the Japanese company "Mandom" in 1933. It was originally made for male office workers to keep their hair styled flat. Now, they have added a Japanese cherry blossom scent, and it is used for female hairstyling as well.

  2. This is very useful for fuzzy hair near the hairline. When you do not want to use hairspray due to the tight, crispy feeling, you can use this. Since it is in a stick shape, you do not need to worry about your hands getting sticky. Perfect for updos.

  3. What do I use this for? Bald cap! When I apply a bald cap, I do not like to use hair spray or Gafquat much since it will create bumps under the bald cap. I use water spray and this Tancho Wax on the hairlines if necessary. Keep in mind that you do not want to put this on the skin since it will stop the glue from sticking to the skin. Just a minimum amount of Tancho should be on the fuzzy hair only.
